AVERILL CREEK, Pinot Noir, Cowichan Valley, BC, 2020
The Wine
This wine represent the future of the Vancouver Island wines. Their talented wine marker Brent, he uses the whole cluster fermentation which includes the stems. This process is commonly used in Burgandy, France, and it increases the tannins, and adds extra flavours in it's profile. This technique give a lift of floral, spice notes and firm tannins.
Adriano's Tasting Notes
The new vintage is dominated by red berries and savoury acidity, with a mix of herbal, floral and green pepper notes. Super food friendly wine, pairs well with a variety of dishes.
